
McKeel Hagerty is the chief executive officer of Hagerty Insurance Agency Inc., headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan.
Read his bio >The son of Hagerty founders Frank and Louise Hagerty, McKeel’s passion for cars began at an early age. He bought his first car before he could drive and began restoring a 1967 Porsche 911S when he was just 13. McKeel Hagerty’s reputation as a knowledgeable classic car and boat enthusiast has not gone unnoticed. He was asked by the prestigious board at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to serve as a judge for the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens (FIVA). He was the youngest judge ever to serve on the panel. McKeel Hagerty continues to serve the collector car community on numerous boards and advisory groups including the Advisory Board for the Automotive Restoration Program at McPherson College, the Board of Directors for the LeMay Museum, the Survivor Board for Bloomington Gold, the Board of Directors for the Bay Harbor Concours d’Elegance, and in various capacities for local philanthropic efforts. In 2003, as president of Hagerty, McKeel initiated an initiative to give back to the collector community that had been so instrumental in Hagerty’s growth. He established the Hagerty Fund, which evolved into the independent nonprofit Collectors Foundation, providing scholarships to preserve the collector car and boat hobbies through education, library and museum programs, and youth-oriented activities. McKeel is also the executive publisher of Hagerty’s magazine and appears regularly as a national auction commentator for ESPN, Speed and the Discovery Channels.

Colin Comer, author of "Million Dollar Muscle Cars" and "The Complete Book of Shelby,” is the first to admit he’s a full-time car junkie.
Read his bio >Colin estimates he had owned over fifty cars by the age of 20, and a career in the automotive world was inevitable. Working at a variety of car dealerships and restoration shops gave Colin real-world skills and knowledge of all things automotive. During this time, Colin also founded his own business, working out of his garage after-hours restoring and selling collector cars. After a few years, the business was (nearly) self-sufficient and became Colin's full-time job. Today, Colin's Classic Automobiles enjoys a loyal following and is regarded as one of the premier classic car dealerships in the nation. While well-versed in collector cars, Colin's passion has always been sports and rare muscle cars (even before it was socially acceptable).

Tim is passionate about cars since he was a young boy. Having received a gift subscription to Road & Track magazine at age 10, would make him dream of working on the European sports cars that were featured.
Read his bio > These dreams were realized when he was recruited by a car accessories shop in the 1980's. This introduced him to the world of detailing high-end cars. Since then, Tim has worked in every facet of the car business, including everything from restoring 300SL's to selling MINI's, although the road always lead back to concours preparation. His work is regularly displayed at Pebble Beach, Villa D'Este, Amelia Island, The Quail and many national marque specific concours. He has prepared a number of cars at the Simeone Foundation Museum in Philadelphia. Many of the cars have been photographed for magazines including Forza, Excellence, Automobile, The Rodder's Journal and most recently a feature article in Classic Motorsport. McNair formed Grand Prix Concours Preparation in 2006. Using only the finest products and the most modern techniques, Grand Prix Concours Prepared vehicles have won awards all over the globe.

Donald Osborne is an appraiser of collector and exotic vehicles and founder of Automotive Valuation Services.

He’s a contributing editor of Sports Car Market magazine, and his writing has also appeared in The New York Times, BusinessWeek Online, Hagerty’s magazine, Road & Track, Art & Antiques and in the books "Keith Martin on Collecting Alfa Romeo" and "Keith Martin's Guide to Car Collecting.” Donald regularly writes profiles on “etceterini,” but has also covered all types of automobiles ranging from vehicles at the turn of the 20th century to contemporary cars. In more than 35 years of collecting, he has bought and sold more than 50 cars: American, English, German, French and Italian, his particular weakness.

Rob Sass is a second generation accumulator of strange collector cars having grown up with several Corvettes, an Avanti and Jaguar XKE owned by his father.
Read his bio > Sass served as Assistant Attorney General for the state of Missouri and then as a partner in a St. Louis law firm before deciding his billable hours requirement terminally interfered with his old car affliction. His stable of classics has included a several Triumph TR6s, a 1972 Porsche 911S, a 1963 Buick Riviera and a 1967 Maserati Mistral. He currently owns a 1965 Jaguar XKE coupe and a 1981 Porsche 911SC. He is the Senior Manager for Media Services at Hagerty, and he has written for the Chicago Tribune, Business Week, the New York Times and Sports Car Market magazine. He is most recently the author of the book on affordable car collecting “Ran When Parked.”

Automotive historian and writer Jonathan A. Stein is the Associate Publisher of Hagerty’s magazine, although he may be best known for his 12 years at Automobile Quarterly.

An automobile hobbyist and collector for 35 years, Stein’s articles have appeared in numerous American and British publications. He is the author of two books: British Sports Cars in America, The Performing Art of the American Automobile and the co-author of Curves of Steel, and has edited many more automotive titles, including The Art and Color of General Motors. Stein has also judged at scores of concours, from Italy to California. He continues to write about automobile history and consults for automotive auction houses, private collections and museums. He resides in Reading, Pennsylvania, with Beki, his wife of 26 years.

Dave Kinney is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers, as well as the publisher of the Hagerty's Cars That Matter price guide.
